Can The Immortal Die?

Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. (1 Timothy 1:17 KJV)
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. (John 19:30 KJV)

Yes. Only the true and living God can be both immortal and mortal.

Bringing Up the New Man

How can we make our New Man grow strong and healthy to counter our Old Man? Exactly how you would take care of your body, nutrition and exercise gives growth.

Nutrition
Read (Eating)
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4 KJV)

Pray (Breathing)
Pray without ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV)
Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. (Colossians 4:2 NLT)

Exercise
Do
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. (James 1:22 KJV)

Tell
"Return home and tell how much God has done for you." So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him. (Luke 8:39 NIV)

Growth
Know
And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. (John 17:3 KJV)

Transformed
So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord--who is the Spirit--makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. (2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT)

Step Out In Faith

Step out in faith. Start with small steps. Obey God in the things that you do daily. If you used to cast your net on the left side, cast it on the other side now. If you are a workaholic and a worrier who never rest on Sunday, do it now. You will find that making less effort can create better results when you obey God by faith.

As the crowd was pressing in on Jesus to hear God’s word, He was standing by Lake Gennesaret. He saw two boats at the edge of the lake; the fishermen had left them and were washing their nets. He got into one of the boats, which belonged to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from the land. Then He sat down and was teaching the crowds from the boat.

When He had finished speaking, He said to Simon, "Put out into deep water and let down your nets for a catch."

"Master," Simon replied, "we’ve worked hard all night long and caught nothing! But at Your word, I’ll let down the nets."

When they did this, they caught a great number of fish, and their nets began to tear. So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them; they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.

When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, "Go away from me, because I’m a sinful man, Lord!" For he and all those with him were amazed at the catch of fish they took, and so were James and John, Zebedee’s sons, who were Simon’s partners.

"Don’t be afraid," Jesus told Simon. "From now on you will be catching people!" Then they brought the boats to land, left everything, and followed Him. (Luke 5:1-11 HCSB)

And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. (John 21:6 KJV)

Trust God for your daily essentials. Nothing is too small.

Then Jacob made a vow, saying, "If God will be with me and will keep me on this journey that I take, and will give me food to eat and garments to wear, and I return to my father’s house in safety, then the LORD will be my God. This stone, which I have set up as a pillar, will be God’s house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You." (Genesis 28:20-22 NASB)

Then you will know God and trust Him in big things. You trust Him, even when you do not go where you are going.

By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed and went out to a place he was going to receive as an inheritance. He went out, not knowing where he was going. (Hebrews 11:8 HCSB)

Step out in faith, because everyone is doing so, because everyone is blind, blind to the future. We do not know what the next moment holds. Those who knew not God do what they think is right and hopes for the best. But we have our unchanging God who gave us His Word.

For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. (Malachi 3:6 KJV)

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. (Hebrews 13:8 KJV)

Moses Wrote The Torah

And Moses wrote down all the words of the Lord. He rose early the next morning and set up an altar and 12 pillars for the 12 tribes of Israel at the base of the mountain. Then he sent out young Israelite men, and they offered burnt offerings and sacrificed bulls as fellowship offerings to the Lord. Moses took half the blood and set it in basins; the other half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar. He then took the covenant scroll and read it aloud to the people. They responded, "We will do and obey everything that the Lord has commanded." (Exodus 24:4-7 HCSB)

Moses wrote down this law and gave it to the priests, the sons of Levi, who carried the ark of the Lord’s covenant, and to all the elders of Israel. (Deuteronomy 31:9 HCSB)

When Moses had finished writing down on a scroll every single word of this law, he commanded the Levites who carried the ark of the Lord’s covenant, "Take this book of the law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God so that it may remain there as a witness against you. (Deuteronomy 31:24-26 HCSB)

For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, because he wrote about Me. But if you don’t believe his writings, how will you believe My words? (John 5:46-47 HCSB)

Obedience Powered By The Holy Spirit

Read this in the blog How to Obey God -- Self-Pushing or Spirit-Empowering:
QUOTE
Imagine coming upon someone who’s pushing his car along the road. You assume he’s out of gas. So you stop, roll down the window, and offer to drive him to the nearest gas station. But think of how shocked you’d be if he said – Oh, that’s OK, I don’t use gas.  I just get to where I want to go by pushing my car. You’d think that was crazy. Because cars are not supposed to be pushed — by us. They are supposed to be powered — by gasoline.

But too often that’s exactly how we try to obey God. By what power do we obey God? Jesus doesn’t just give us commands which he wants us to push ourselves to obey. He also gives us gasoline — reasons and promises and warnings in God’s Word – by which the Holy Spirit empowers us to obey.

When we pray over the reasons, promises, and warnings in Scripture — the Spirit changes our hearts, motivates our hearts, energizes our hearts so we want to obey God.

How do you obey God?
Most Christians know God’s commands. But do we know the reasons, promises, and warnings accompanying those commands? For example — we all know that Jesus commands us to love our enemies. But do we know the reason Jesus gives for that command — the reason which He wants to motivate us — the reason by which the Spirit will empower us? What is the reason?  "Love your enemies … and your reward will be great" (Luke 6:35). But if we haven’t known that was the reason — then that reason has not empowered our obedience, which means our obedience has probably involved more self-pushing than Spirit-empowering.

How to obey God
When Jesus gave the command to love our enemies, He did not just tell us what to do — He also told us how. He wants us to start by considering the greatness of the reward — the joy of seeing Jesus Christ face to face — knowing Him, fellowshiping with Him, worshiping Him. When we consider the reward of seeing Jesus — the Holy Spirit will change our hearts. He will satisfy us with the joy of Jesus, and stir us to want more of the joy of Jesus. The result?  The pain our enemies have inflicted will be so comforted by the joy of Jesus — and our hearts will be so filled with the joy of Jesus — that we will overflow with love to our enemies.

This is not easy
I’m not saying it’s easy to obey God. It takes effort. But the effort doesn’t focus on making ourselves do what we don’t want to do. The effort focuses on trusting God’s reasons, promises, and warnings until — by the Spirit’s work — we are full of joy in Jesus and want more joy in Jesus. When we are full of joy in Jesus and want more joy in Jesus we will obey — every time. That’s why wherever you see a commands in God’s Word — if you look closely — you will find a reason, a promise, a warning nearby. Because that’s the gasoline the Spirit will use to empower us to obey God.

Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24 ESV)
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. (Philippians 2:12 KJV)
Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. (Hebrews 4:11 KJV)

Prophetic Ambiguity - 2

In his book "Beginning at Moses", Dr Michael P V Barrett talked about Prophetic Ambiguity. He gave an example of prophetic ambiguity in God's prophecy to Rebekah about the twins in her womb.

QUOTE (Page 217-218)
Prophecy reveals much about the future, but it doesn't reveal everything. Realizing this must temper our interpretation of prophetic texts. We must focus on and emphasize the points revealed and resist the temptation to speculate with dogmatism about what God did not choose to reveal. We have to be honest and admit that were it not for this inherent and intentional ambiguity in prophecy, every God-fearer and Bible-believer would confess the same prophetic perspective.

Let me give give another example of a prophecy and its fulfillment that I think illustrates this principle. When the Lord revealed to Isaac and Rebekah that they would have twins, He also said, "The elder shall server the younger" (Genesis 25:23). We know from the historic narrative how that played out in Jacob's receiving the birthright instead of Esau. The English translation makes the prediction explicitly clear; the Hebrew, however, is a bit ambiguous. It could be translated either "The elder shall serve the younger" or "The younger shall serve the elder". The addition of one simple particle could have eliminated the ambiguity, but the Lord chose not to use that particle. I will not be dogmatic about this, but I would suggest that Isaac and Rebekah interpreted that prophecy differently. It seems unlikely to me that Isaac who feared the Lord, would have been so bent on giving the firstborn blessing to Esau in conscious defiance of God's revealed purpose. But God's revealed purpose could not be frustrated even by Isaac's misinterpretation. Divinely inspired prophecy results in certain fulfillment; humanly perceived interpretations do nor share that certainty.

God Visible and Invisible

God Invisible
No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. (John 1:18 KJV)

No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father. (John 6:46 NIV)

No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us. (1 John 4:12 NASB)

But He said, "You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live!" (Exodus 33:20 NASB)

God Visible
Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink. (Exodus 24:9-11 KJV)

The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent. (Exodus 33:11 NIV)

And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. (Genesis 17:1 KJV)

Question
Is God visible or invisible?

Answer
God is Trinity. God the Father is invisible, but God the Son is visible. All appearances of God in the Old Testament was the pre-incarnate Christ. So God is both visible and invisible. Invisible, but yet have an image. Nothing is too hard for God.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. (Colossians 1:15 NASB)

God Views Our Life Through Christ

In the Book of Kings, the sins of David and Solomon were recorded. In the Book of Chronicles, God did not mentioned any of the sins committed by David and Solomon.

Our sinful lives are like that of David and Solomon in the Book of Kings. But God sees our lives like David and Solomon in the Book of Chronicles. Our sins are covered by the blood of Christ. They are mentioned no more.

For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more. (Hebrews 8:12 ESV)

None of These Diseases

And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee. (Exodus 15:26 KJV)

In his book "None of These Diseases", S. I. McMillen showed us that God had taught Moses that if we listen carefully to the voice of the LORD and do what is right in His sight, obey His commands and keep all His decrees, we will live healthily. In another word, right faith produces right living produces good health.

The hygiene instructions in the Mosaic Law are relevant even today because the instructions are given by the Creator Himself.

Moses's Law - Answer to Unbridled Meritocracy

Just read on this website "Moses and Mosaic Law" some interesting comment on Moses's Law. It is based on a speech "Moses, Apostle of Freedom" made in 1878 by a certain Henry George.

QUOTE
It was not an empire such as had reached full development in Egypt, or existed in rudimentary patriarchal form in the tribes around, that Moses aimed to found. Nor was it a republic where the freedom of the citizen rested on the servitude of the helot, and the individual was sacrificed to the state.

It was a commonwealth based upon the individual – a commonwealth whose ideal it was that every man should sit under his own vine and fig tree, with none to vex him or make him afraid. It was a commonwealth:
  • in which none should be condemned to ceaseless toil; in which, for even the bond slave, there should be hope; and
  • in which, for even the beast of burden, there should be rest.
  • A commonwealth in which, in the absence of deep poverty, the many virtues that spring from personal independence should harden into a national character–
  • a commonwealth in which the family affections might knit their tendrils around each member, binding with links stronger than steel the various parts into the living whole.
It is not the protection of property, but the protection of humanity, that is the aim of the Mosaic code. Its sanctions are not directed to securing the strong in heaping up wealth as much as to preventing the weak from being crowded to the wall. At every point it interposes its barriers to the selfish greed that, if left unchecked, will surely differentiate men into landlord and serf, capitalist and working person, millionaire and tramp, ruler and ruled.
  • Its Sabbath day and Sabbath year secure, even to the lowliest, rest and leisure.
  • With the blast of the Jubilee trumpets the slave goes free, the debt that cannot be paid is cancelled, and a re-division of the land secures again to the poorest their fair share in the bounty of the common Creator.
  • The reaper must leave something for the gleaner;
  • even the ox cannot be muzzled as he treadeth out the corn.
Everywhere, in everything, the dominant idea is that of our homely phrase: "Live and let live!"

Proof Of The True God

Has any other god dared to take a nation for himself out of another nation by means of trials, miraculous signs, wonders, war, a strong hand, a powerful arm, and terrifying acts? Yet that is what the LORD your God did for you in Egypt, right before your eyes. (Deuteronomy 4:34 NLT)

How do we know our God is true? How do we know the Bible is true? We know, because the Bible cannot be written by humans. Humans write books and claimed that they are from god, gods, buddhas or supermen. But they cannot proof that their books are divine, because any man can write a book. But our Bible is true because our God not only write a book, He also created a nation. This is something that men cannot do. Any man can write a book, but no man can create a nation.

God not only created the nation, He also wrote its history in advance.

When you father children and children's children, and have grown old in the land, if you act corruptly by making a carved image in the form of anything, and by doing what is evil in the sight of the Lord your God, so as to provoke him to anger, I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that you will soon utterly perish from the land that you are going over the Jordan to possess. You will not live long in it, but will be utterly destroyed. And the Lord will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be left few in number among the nations where the Lord will drive you. And there you will serve gods of wood and stone, the work of human hands, that neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell. But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. When you are in tribulation, and all these things come upon you in the latter days, you will return to the Lord your God and obey his voice. For the Lord your God is a merciful God. He will not leave you or destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers that he swore to them. (Deuteronomy 4:25-31 ESV)

Technology Came From Cain

And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch. And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech. And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah. And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle. And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ. And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah. (Genesis 4:17-22 KJV)

Cain and his descendants built cities, invent musical instruments and made all kinds of bronze and iron tools. But why is Naamah, the sister of Tubalcain, mentioned?

The First Resurrection

Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years. (Revelation 20:4-6 ESV)

A friend of mine read this passge and conclude that only Tribulation Saints would rule with Christ for a thousand years.

Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. (James 1:12 NASB)

Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. (Revelation 2:10 KJV)

He hath Set Eternity In Their Heart

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. (Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV)

Men live under the tyranny of time. There is no escape. But God put into our heart the idea of what it is to be free from time, to be in eternity. We cannot fully understand it, but we know that we can escape from time.

                      Where, How, Why, When, What

God told Abraham to go, but did not tell him where.
God told David he will be king, but did not tell him how.
Joseph upheld God's righteousness and suffered for it but God did not tell him why.
All Christians are told that Jesus will be coming again but God did not tell us when.

But God told us what is required of us.

And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good? (Deuteronomy 10:12-13 KJV)

He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? (Micah 6:8 KJV)

Then they said to him, "What must we do, to be doing the works of God?" Jesus answered them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent." (John 6:28-29 ESV)

One day, we shall know God face to face.

And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. (Jeremiah 31:34 ESV)

                      Sukkot The Feast of Tabernacles

Then all the survivors from the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord of Hosts, and to celebrate the Festival of Booths. Should any of the families of the earth not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of Hosts, rain will not fall on them. And if the people of Egypt will not go up and enter, then rain will not fall on them; this will be the plague the Lord inflicts on the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Booths. This will be the punishment of Egypt and all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Booths. (Zechariah 14:16-19 HCSB)

Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, and to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles. If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, they will have no rain. If the Egyptian people do not go up and take part, they will have no rain. The Lord will bring on them the plague he inflicts on the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles. This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles. (Zechariah 14:16-19 NIV)

Yom Kippur - Day of Atonement

Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD. (Leviticus 23:27 KJV)

But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come, then through the greater and more perfect tent (not made with hands, that is, not of this creation) he entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption. For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with the ashes of a heifer, sanctify for the purification of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God. (Hebrews 9:11-14 ESV)

Yom Teruah or Feast of Trumpets

It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. (1 Corinthians 15:52 NLT)

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the archangel’s voice, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are still alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so we will always be with the Lord. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 HCSB)

When the seventh angel blows his trumpet, God's mysterious plan will be fulfilled. It will happen just as he announced it to his servants the prophets. (Revelation 10:7  NLT)

                      God Predestines Through Free Will

So Ruth went out to gather grain behind the harvesters. And as it happened, she found herself working in a field that belonged to Boaz, the relative of her father-in-law, Elimelech. (Ruth 2:3 NLT)

When Ruth was going out to glean, she just went to a field. The Bible tells us that she happened to be in the portion of land belonging to Boaz, who was from Elimelech’s family. This is chance, coincidence or luck. This is also predestination, for she was chosen to be the ancestor of the Messiah, so she had to glean in Boaz's field so that she can meet him and marry him.

For truly in this city there were gathered together against Your holy servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose predestined to occur. (Acts 4:27-28 NASB)

When Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel gathered together in Jerusalem to put Jesus to death, they were acting out of their own selfish interest. But yet everything they did was determined beforehand according to God's will.

However, Jonah got up to flee to Tarshish from the Lord’s presence. He went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish. He paid the fare and went down into it to go with them to Tarshish, from the Lord’s presence. (Jonah 1:3 HCSB) Now the Lord had appointed a huge fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the fish three days and three nights. (Jonah 1:17 HCSB)

But He answered and said to them, "An evil and adulterous generation craves for a sign; and yet no sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet; (Matthew 12:39 NASB).

When Jonah disobeyed God, he was doing it out of his dislike for the people of Nineveh. But his three days stay in the fish became a sign of Jesus's death and resurrection. It is predestined that Jonah had to disobey God; otherwise the sign of Jonah the prophet cannot be given. But he definitely did it out of his own rebellious will.

God's Will is usually acted out through agents in our temporal world. Everything that exists is an agent of God, out to accomplish His Will. Chance, coincidence, luck, Satan, demons, angels, the weather, planets, stars, galaxies, the unknown plant that grow quietly in some deep forest, the insects that live in the house, good and evil forces are all agents of God. On rare occasions, God intervened personally, appearing as the Angel of the Lord. He appeared to Moses in a burning bush. And He came into the world as Jesus to save us from our sins.

Our free wills are also agents of God, accomplishing His Will. We may plan without God, "Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit." (James 4:13 NLT) or pray for God’s Will "If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that." (James 4:15 ESV), God’s Will is done. When you obey God, God’s Will is done. When you disobey God, God’s Will is done. Every event on earth marches relentlessly to accomplish God's Will.

This article is written out of my own free will. Nobody put a gun to my head to force me to write it. No voice in my head dictate the words. The ideas and words came from me, based on my experience in my many years of walking with Christ. Some people may chance on this article while browsing the web and opinions may be formed and may be passed to others. Others may come across this post because they are looking for words like "predestination" or "God's Will" or even my name.

No. This article is predestined before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4), according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will (Ephesians 1:11) that it should come about through the agency of my hand, my thoughts and my experience, formed by the many years that He lead me. He has determined the exact number of people who will read this post, just as He has numbered the very hairs of our head (Matthew 10:30, Luke 12:7). He will lead them by many means to this post. And they will generate more events, influence an exact number of people, for good or for bad, all of which are predetermined by God, and all will march relentlessly to the end of ages, when all of God's Will will be accomplished.

So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31 NLT)

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28 KJV)

Don't be resigned to "fate" and said that God had determined everything, whatever I do is futile. The predestination of God is to give us assurance, not resignation.

                      Born and Bought

And every male in Abraham's household, including those born in his household or bought from a foreigner, was circumcised with him. (Genesis 17:27 NIV)

But if a priest buys a slave with money, or if a slave is born in his household, that slave may eat his food. (Leviticus 22:11 NIV)

Jews are born into the household of faith. Gentiles are bought.

For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. (1 Corinthians 6:20 KJV)

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: (1 Peter 1:18-19 KJV)

Everything in the Gospel is found in embryonic form in the Torah. When Leviticus 22:11 grows up, it becomes Ephesians 3:6. The mystery of the Gospel is revealed.

This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 3:6 NIV)

                      Salvation Is Available For All

He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. (1 John 2:2 ESV)

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13 KJV)

This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:3-4 ESV)

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, (Titus 2:11 KJV)

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9 KJV)

The Spirit and the bride say, "Come." And let the one who hears say, "Come." And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost. (Revelation 22:17 NASB)

The salvation of God through Jesus Christ is for all, no matter how wicked, in whatever condition, the blood of Jesus is able to cleanse us of our sins.
