Return in power with the saints at Mount Olives.
On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward. (Zechariah 14:4 ESV)
Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. (Matthew 24:30 ESV)
And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. (Luke 21:27 ESV)
Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. (Acts 1:11 KJV)
And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. (2 Thessalonians 2:8 ESV)
Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen. (Revelation 1:7 ESV)
The timing of His return is unexpected to the wicked, like a thief.
"But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. (Matthew 24:36 ESV)
Therefore,
stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. But
know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the
night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not
have let his house be broken into. Therefore you also must be ready, for
the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. (Matthew 24:42-44 ESV)
Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour. (Matthew 25:13 ESV)
For
you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a
thief in the night. While people are saying, "There is peace and
security," then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains
come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you are not in
darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. (1 Thessalonians 5:2-4 ESV)
But
the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will
pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and
dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be
exposed. (2 Peter 3:10 ESV)
Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. (Revelations 16:15 KJV)
