It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things. (1 Peter 1:12 NIV)
The plan of salvation had been revealed to the old testament prophets, not for themselves, but for us. They did not understand what they were prophesying. Even angels longed to know these things.
Founders of many religions popped out of nowhere claiming to be somebody, met with angels and delivering messages, became awaken and started to teach. But Jesus is not the same. Long before His arrival, His birth and death was prophesied.
