The sun shines with its own light. The moon reflects the light of the sun. If the moon boast of his light, it is pride. If the sun boast of his light, he is stating a fact.
When men boast of their works, it is pride. When God show forth His works, it is His glory.
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. (Revelation 4:11 KJV)
Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
"For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?"
"Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?"
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
Romans 11:33-36 (ESV)
