Three Degree of Worldliness

Tonight at prayer meeting while we were going round sharing our prayer requests, our brother Silas Heng shared with us what he shared at JSM KL last Sunday (30th October 2016). The subject is worldliness.

Three degree of worldliness
Plain Worldliness
People who claimed to be Christians, but behaving exactly like the rest of the world.

Pet Sins
Christians who talk and walk like Christians, having surrendered most of their life to Christ, but keep one or more pet sins in secret.

Legitimate activities replacing God
Christians who allow legitimate activities (careers, hobbies) to keep them from serving God whole heartedly.

And Achan answered Joshua, "Truly I have sinned against the Lord God of Israel, and this is what I did: when I saw among the spoil a beautiful cloak from Shinar, and 200 shekels of silver, and a bar of gold weighing 50 shekels, then I coveted them and took them. And see, they are hidden in the earth inside my tent, with the silver underneath." (Joshua 7:20-21 ESV)
