From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence (βιάζεται), and the violent (βιασταὶ) take it by force. (Matthew 11:12 ESV)
We are told to embrace disruptive technologies because they will transform lives, businesses and the global economy.
What many do not know is that Christianity is a disruptive religion. It will transform lives, societies, cultures and countries. Like all disruption, it will be accompanied by violence and unhappiness as the Kingdom forces its way into the world and those who cling to the old ways tried to prevent its success.
"The Law and the Prophets were until John; since then the good news of the kingdom of God is preached, and everyone (πᾶς) forces (βιάζεται) his way into it. (Luke 16:16 ESV)
