Desmond Tutu Is Going To Hell

"I would not worship a God who is homophobic and that is how deeply I feel about this."

But Desmond Tutu has a big problem. First, there is only one God.
I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: (Isaiah 45:5 KJV)

And He is homophobic.
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. (Leviticus 18:22 KJV)
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. (Leviticus 20:13 KJV)

And His Heaven is homophobic.
Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 NASB)

Desmond Tutu may be a Nobel Laureate, the Archbishop Emeritus of Cape Town, but he may get his wish of going the other place, where homosexuals exist, but love does not exist.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:22-23 KJV)

O Archbishop Emeritus, why fight against the clear commandment of God? Repent and live!
Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord GOD, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live? (Ezekiel 18:23 ESV)

Above all, Archbishop Emeritus, do not have such a low opinion of God. Always remember, God's purpose in creation is to glorify His great Name.
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. (Revelation 4:11 KJV)

Sacrifice

God demands sacrifice.
Three times a year all your males shall appear before the LORD your God at the place that he will choose: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, and at the Feast of Booths. They shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed. (Deuteronomy 16:16 ESV)

God does not desire sacrifice.
For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. (Psalm 51:16-17 KJV)

Some thought that God need sacrifice and would be happy to have lots of it.
To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. (Isaiah 1:11 KJV)

Christianity Is An Auditable Religion

There is a web page titled "Christianity, the World’s Most Falsifiable Religion." Actually, I think a better title would be "Christianity, the World’s Most Auditable Religion." Christianity would pass any audit, unlike many religions. Here are two interesting pictures from the above website on how religions are started:

In fact, the three major monotheistic religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam are auditable, but one of them will fail the audit.

Old Testament
The authority of Moses as the prophet of God was established publicly in the sight of all Israel and Egypt.
No prophet has arisen again in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face. He was unparalleled for all the signs and wonders the Lord sent him to do against the land of Egypt—to Pharaoh, to all his officials, and to all his land, and for all the mighty acts of power and terrifying deeds that Moses performed in the sight of all Israel. New Testament
As shown in the cartoon above, the authority of Jesus as the Son of God was established publicly.
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Quran
The Quran was given privately to Mohammed by the angel Gabriel, who then told his followers what the angel told him. We have no way to audit if the angel really did speak to him and if the words spoken were faithfully transmitted.

Marriage

Marriage's fundamental motivation must be to glorify God.

Love

Companionship
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. (Genesis 2:24 KJV)
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him - a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Procreation
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Sex
Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge. (Hebrews 13:4 NASB)

Conditions
1. There is One that you need to love more than your spouse
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. (Deuteronomy 6:5 KJV)

2. Your partner must also agree to rule number one
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14 KJV)

3. There is hierarchy in marriage
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. (Ephesians 5:22 ESV)

4. There is sacrifice in marriage
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, (Ephesians 5:25 NASB)

5. It is life long
And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, and said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. (Matthew 19:4-6 KJV)

6. There are those whom you cannot marry

Eternal Life

Dependency

I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me. (John 5:30 ESV)

Dependency is such a hard thing. We love freedom and independence. At worst, we want to be interdependent. We do not like the idea of being dependent. But Jesus said that He can do nothing by Himself. He does the will of God who sent Him.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. (John 15:5 KJV)

Sexual Perversions

Sex is only allowed between married couples. One man can only have one wife.
For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. (Genesis 2:24 NASB)

Men sinned and refused to obey God.
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And these shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.

Against adultery
If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel. (Deuteronomy 22:22 KJV)
If there is a man who commits adultery with another man's wife, one who commits adultery with his friend's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death. (Leviticus 20:10 NASB)

Against incest

Against fornication

In 2010s, sodomy became mainstream.

Faith Like A Child

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 18:3 KJV)
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. (Mark 10:15 KJV)
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein. (Luke 18:17 KJV)

Babies need faith. When a baby is born, he came to a place which is strange to him. Then there is one stranger, with a familiar voice, who will feed him. He cannot understand what those around him are saying. He could not communicate with them, but he is dependent on the strangers for everything. He has to trust that these people around him are there for his own good.

When the baby grows older, he knows more things. He starts to use knowledge and judgement. He uses less faith. He is no longer gullible. He thought that he no longer needs faith.

But we need faith at all ages because we are not omniscience, omnipresent and omnipotent. Only God does not need faith. Everyone else, including Satan, needs faith. It is only who you have faith in that makes a difference. Some have faith in themselves, others in reason, logic, science or even false gods.

Law Is Made For Sinners

Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. (1 Timothy 1:9-11 KJV)

For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are. (Romans 3:20 NLT)

So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. (Galatians 3:24 ESV)

But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it - the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. (Romans 3:21-26 ESV)

Church Growth in Acts

So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls. (Acts 2:41 NASB)
And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved. (Acts 2:46-47 NASB)
Believers were added to the Lord in increasing numbers--crowds of both men and women. (Acts 5:14 HCSB)
Now in these days when the disciples were increasing in number, a complaint by the Hellenists arose against the Hebrews because their widows were being neglected in the daily distribution. (Acts 6:1 ESV)
And the word of God continued to increase, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests became obedient to the faith. (Acts 6:7 ESV)
So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied. (Acts 9:31 ESV)

Growth due to persecution
Those who had been scattered as a result of the persecution that started because of Stephen made their way as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the message to no one except Jews. But there were some of them, Cypriot and Cyrenian men, who came to Antioch and began speaking to the Hellenists, proclaiming the good news about the Lord Jesus. The Lord’s hand was with them, and a large number who believed turned to the Lord. Then the report about them was heard by the church that was at Jerusalem, and they sent out Barnabas to travel as far as Antioch. When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he was glad and encouraged all of them to remain true to the Lord with a firm resolve of the heart, for he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And large numbers of people were added to the Lord. Then he went to Tarsus to search for Saul, and when he found him he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they met with the church and taught large numbers. The disciples were first called Christians at Antioch. (Acts 11:19-26 HCSB)
