Faith Like A Child

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 18:3 KJV)
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. (Mark 10:15 KJV)
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein. (Luke 18:17 KJV)

Babies need faith. When a baby is born, he came to a place which is strange to him. Then there is one stranger, with a familiar voice, who will feed him. He cannot understand what those around him are saying. He could not communicate with them, but he is dependent on the strangers for everything. He has to trust that these people around him are there for his own good.

When the baby grows older, he knows more things. He starts to use knowledge and judgement. He uses less faith. He is no longer gullible. He thought that he no longer needs faith.

But we need faith at all ages because we are not omniscience, omnipresent and omnipotent. Only God does not need faith. Everyone else, including Satan, needs faith. It is only who you have faith in that makes a difference. Some have faith in themselves, others in reason, logic, science or even false gods.
