Rebuke

Proof that God loves you
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. (Revelation 3:19 KJV)
For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. (Proverbs 3:12 KJV)
If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. ( (Hebrews 12:7-10 KJV)

Attitude when rebuked
A wise son heareth his father's instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke. (Proverbs 13:1 KJV)
As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear. (Proverbs 25:12 KJV)
My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: (Proverbs 3:11 KJV)

Scorner
Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee. (Proverbs 9:8 KJV)
Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge. (Proverbs 19:25 KJV)

Our action
Open rebuke is better than secret love. (Proverbs 27:5 KJV)
