The Beginning Of Grace

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV)

Salvation can only be found in the Gospel.
This is the grace of God to everyone who heard the Gospel, believed and is saved:
  1. God has placed you in a place where the Gospel can be heard;
  2. God has given you a heart (or a state of mind) to receive the Gospel.
The grace of God is simply defined as an unmerited, undeserved favour.

Grace is, by definition, unfair. - Philip Yancey

Justice gives a punishment we deserve; mercy withholds a punishment we deserve; grace gives a blessing we don't deserve.

If someone dies without hearing the Gospel, he gets justice.
If someone hears the Gospel and rejects it, he also gets justice.
If someone hears the Gospel and believes, he gets grace and mercy.
