Answered Prayers - Paul's Journey To Rome - 3

One of the things I always pray for is the opportunity, God willing, to come at last to see you. (Romans 1:10 NLT)

Paul prayed for the opportunity to visit the Roman Christians. His prayer was answered, but in an unexpected way. He came to Rome as a prisoner. The Roman Christians were able to visit him.

When we arrived in Rome, Paul was permitted to have his own private lodging, though he was guarded by a soldier. (Acts 28:16 NLT)

God act in unexpected ways for many things.

God also delivered Israel through Jeroboam, son of Jehoash (2 Kings 14:27).

God used the Babylonians to punish Judah (Habakkuk 1:6). The Jews found it difficult to accept.

God sent the Gospel to China through faithful preachers who came under the wings of the British imperialists, whose chief interest is to sell opium to China. In doing so, many Chinese associated Christianity with Western imperialism.
