Have you not put a hedge around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. (Job 1:10 ESV)
In the book of Job, Satan made a jealous remark about Job's good life.
Sometimes in Facebook or WhatsApp, we see people posting about their happy family, going for tours, children getting great results. Then there are those who are not in happy circumstances may feel a hint of jealousy, or feel that these people are boasting about their good life.
For Christians, it is important that when we announce our blessings to the others, we must remember that these blessings come from God and give due credit to Him by glorifying Him. It is He that provides. The glory of God benefits us. It deflects away any feeling of pride on our part. Not us, but Him.
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. (Romans 11:36 ESV)
