The Importance of Knowing God

Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. (John 17:3 NIV)

God cannot be known, except when He reveals Himself. All knowledge of God are through His revelations in the Bible. If you create a virtual world in the computer (e.g. a game), the creatures in the virtual world cannot know you, unless you made yourself known. You can be flesh made digital, and assume the form of a digital image and dwell in the world you create. Likewise, the Word was made flesh, and dwell among men (John 1:14), so that we may know God our creator. Anyone who sees Jesus sees God (John 14:9).
