Act of God Always Results in Many Dead

"And I will make a vast graveyard for Gog and his hordes in the Valley of the Travelers, east of the Dead Sea. It will block the way of those who travel there, and they will change the name of the place to the Valley of Gog's Hordes. It will take seven months for the people of Israel to bury the bodies and cleanse the land. Everyone in Israel will help, for it will be a glorious victory for Israel when I demonstrate my glory on that day, says the Sovereign Lord. (Ezekiel 39:11-13 NIV)

Sometime in the future, a group of people will invade Israel from the north. They will have allies in the east and the west. No one will help Israel. United States and Europe seems to be neutral, unable or unwilling to help.

But God will intervene and caused a great earthquake in Israel. The invaders will kill each other in confusion. There will pestilence, torrential rain, hailstones, fire, and burning sulphur. The invaders will be defeated. So many invaders will be killed that Israel will take seven months to bury the dead.

It is God's mercy to the Palestinians that they are facing a human enemy call Israel. While God will not leave Israel unpunished for their sin, neither is God kind to those who want to erase Israel from the map.

Remember that the God of Israel is the God who drown the whole earth except for those in the Ark, killed all the first born in Egypt and made death the wages of sin. If God has not declared that death is the wages of sin, nobody will die. Everyone will live forever.

For I am with you to save you, declares the LORD; I will make a full end of all the nations among whom I scattered you, but of you I will not make a full end. I will discipline you in just measure, and I will by no means leave you unpunished. (Jeremiah 30:11 ESV)

I will first repay them double for their iniquity and sin because they have polluted my land. They have filled my inheritance with the carcasses of their abhorrent and detestable idols." (Jeremiah 16:18 CSB)

And in all the land, declares the LORD, two-thirds will be cut off and perish, but a third will be left in it. This third I will bring through the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on My name, and I will answer them. I will say, 'They are My people,' and they will say, 'The LORD is our God.'" (Zechariah 13:8-9 BSB)

Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the LORD's hand double for all her sins. (Isaiah 40:2 NIV)

God Use Israel to Prove His Existence

"Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God: It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am about to act, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations to which you came. And I will vindicate the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them. And the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Lord God, when through you I vindicate my holiness before their eyes. I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries and bring you into your own land. (Ezekiel 36:22-24 ESV)

So I will show my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am the LORD. (Ezekiel 38:23 ESV)

So I will make my holy name known among my people Israel and will no longer allow it to be profaned. Then the nations will know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel. (Ezekiel 39:7 CSB)

It is not possible to prove that God exist. So God use the existence of Israel to prove His existence.

End Of Secularism

God restored Israel to vindicate the holiness of His great name in the eyes of the nations. But the nations still refused to recognise the God of Israel. So there will be the Gog and Magog war where God will defeat Gog miraculously. And that will end secularism.

So I will show my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am the LORD. (Ezekiel 38:23 ESV)

So I will make my holy name known among my people Israel and will no longer allow it to be profaned. Then the nations will know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel. (Ezekiel 39:7 CSB)

How Gog Will Be Defeated

This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign Lord. In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. The fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground. I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign Lord. Every man's sword will be against his brother. I will execute judgment on him with plague and bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him. And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.' (Ezekiel 38:18-23 NIV)

On the day Gog invades Israel, this is what will happen to armies of the invading nations in the land of Israel:

1. There will be great earthquake in Israel;
2. The invaders will kill each other;
3. The invaders will face pestilence and bloodshed;
4. Torrential rain, hailstones, fire, and burning sulphur will fall on the invaders.

I will send fire on Magog and on those who dwell securely in the coastlands, and they shall know that I am the LORD. (Ezekiel 39:6 ESV)

God will also send fire to judge the citizens of Magog and all the nations involved in the invasion who thought the the fighting will only be in Israel and their own countries will be safe. The mindset is something like today's war between Ukraine and Russia. Everybody send arms to Ukraine, thinking that the fighting will be confined in Ukraine and they will be safe.

At the end of the war, the whole world will know that the God of Israel is the real God because Israel will not be saved by their traditional allies, United States and European Union, but by timely natural (or supernatural) disasters.

Gog - Mentioned Before Birth

"Son of man, face Gog (גּוֹג֙), of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. Prophesy against him and say, 'This is what the Lord GOD says: Look, I am against you, Gog (גּוֹג֙), chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. (Ezekiel 38:2-3 CSB)

"Therefore prophesy, son of man, and say to Gog (גּוֹג֙), 'This is what the Lord God says: On that day when my people Israel are dwelling securely, will you not know this and come from your place in the remotest parts of the north - you and many peoples with you, who are all riding horses - a huge assembly, a powerful army? You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud covering the land. It will happen in the last days, Gog (גּוֹג֙), that I will bring you against my land so that the nations may know me, when I demonstrate my holiness through you in their sight. "'This is what the Lord God says: Are you the one I spoke about in former times through my servants, the prophets of Israel, who for years prophesied in those times that I would bring you against them? Now on that day, the day when Gog (גּוֹג֙) comes against the land of Israel - this is the declaration of the Lord God - my wrath will flare up. (Ezekiel 38:14-18 CSB)

"As for you, son of man, prophesy against Gog (גּוֹג֙) and say, 'This is what the Lord GOD says: Look, I am against you, Gog (גּוֹג֙), chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. (Ezekiel 39:1 CSB)

Three persons were mentioned by name in the Bible before they are born - Josiah (1 Kings 13:2), Cyrus (Isaiah 44:28, Isaiah 45:1) and Gog (Ezekiel 38:2-3, Ezekiel 38:14-18, Ezekiel 39:1, Ezekiel 39:11). Two has already been fulfilled and there is one more to go.

Meshech and Tubal

Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, "Son of man, set your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, and say, 'This is what the Lord God says: "Behold, I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. So I will turn you around and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them magnificently dressed, a great contingent with shield and buckler, all of them wielding swords; Persia, Cush, and Put with them, all of them with buckler and helmet; Gomer with all its troops; Beth-togarmah from the remote parts of the north with all its troops - many peoples with you. (Ezekiel 38:1-6 NASB)

And the word of the Lord came to me saying, "Son of man, set your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him and say, 'Thus says the Lord God, "Behold, I am against you, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal. I will turn you about and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them splendidly attired, a great company with buckler and shield, all of them wielding swords; Persia, Ethiopia and Put with them, all of them with shield and helmet; Gomer with all its troops; Beth-togarmah from the remote parts of the north with all its troops - many peoples with you. (Ezekiel 38:1-6 NASB95)

The descendants of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. The descendants of Gomer were Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah. (Genesis 10:2-3 NLT)

Meshech and Tubal seems to be the main countries driving the future invasion of Israel from the north. These two countries are both ruled by Gog. He is mentioned as the chief prince. So the two countries may be in some sort of federation or the two main nations in a federation of nations. We do not really know which modern country is Meshech and Tubal. Neither do we know which countries made up Gomer and Beth-togarmah. In Genesis, they are all descendants of Japheth.

For the other nations mentioned, Persia is easily identified as Iran. Cush is south of Egypt, probably nations around the Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Somalia region. Put is west of Egypt, probably Libya and Alegria. They are mainly Muslim countries. Also note the absence of the inner ring of Muslim nations surrounding Israel - Syria, Jordan, Egypt and the Palestinians.

If you are one of those who believe that the Hebrew word rosh (רֹ֖אשׁ) in Ezekiel 38:2-3 should be translated as the proper noun Rosh instead of the adjective "chief", then you may think that Rosh, Meshech and Tubal may be Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. Maybe some guy named Gog will rise up, depose Putin, take over the war and conquer Ukraine and Belarus. After that he will launch an invasion of Israel. To be fair, Gog does sound Russian. Remember Gorbachev? What about Vincent van Gogh? Maybe Magog is Netherlands?

That is why there are some Christians in America, who do not support Russia, but think that Russia will win the war and take Ukraine. They think that Russia has to preserve its power for the invasion of Israel. And they also think that Biden cannot do anything right.

Meshech and Tubal are also mentioned in other parts of the Bible.

Meshech is mentioned in Psalm 120 as a warlike place:
Woe to me that I dwell in Meshek, that I live among the tents of Kedar! (Psalm 120:5 NIV)

Meshech and Tubal are mentioned in a prophecy against Tyre (Ezekiel 27:1-31) as traders of slaves and bronze:
Merchants from Greece (Javan), Tubal, and Meshech brought slaves and articles of bronze to trade with you. (Ezekiel 27:13 NLT)

Meshech and Tubal are also mentioned in a prophecy against Egypt (Ezekiel 32:17-31) as dead:
"Meshech and Tubal are there, surrounded by the graves of all their hordes. They once struck terror in the hearts of people everywhere. But now they are outcasts, all slaughtered by the sword. (Ezekiel 32:26 NLT)

Israel's Enemies

I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you; and all the families of the earth will be blessed through you." (Genesis 12:3 BSB)

Blessed are those who bless you, and cursed are those who curse you. (Numbers 24:9b ESV)

Those whom God wanted to destroy, He first make them enemies of Israel.

The classic example is the Pharaoh of Egypt.
For Scripture says to Pharaoh: "I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth." (Romans 9:17 NIV)

Then we have the Canaanites in Canaan.
So Joshua took this entire land: the hill country, all the Negev, the whole region of Goshen, the western foothills, the Arabah and the mountains of Israel with their foothills, from Mount Halak, which rises toward Seir, to Baal Gad in the Valley of Lebanon below Mount Hermon. He captured all their kings and put them to death. Joshua waged war against all these kings for a long time. Except for the Hivites living in Gibeon, not one city made a treaty of peace with the Israelites, who took them all in battle. For it was the LORD himself who hardened their hearts to wage war against Israel, so that he might destroy them totally, exterminating them without mercy, as the LORD had commanded Moses. (Joshua 11:16-20 NIV)

In the future, we have Gog of Magog.
The word of the Lord came to me: "Son of man, face Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. Prophesy against him and say, 'This is what the Lord God says: Look, I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws, and bring you out with all your army, including horses and riders, who are all splendidly dressed, a huge assembly armed with large and small shields, all of them brandishing swords.

You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud covering the land. It will happen in the last days, Gog, that I will bring you against my land so that the nations may know me, when I demonstrate my holiness through you in their sight. (Ezekiel 38:1-4,16 CSB)

Rosh - Adjective or Proper Noun

The word of the Lord came to me: "Son of man, turn your face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. Prophesy against him and say: This is what the Lord God says: Look, I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws, and bring you out with all your army, including horses and riders, who are all splendidly dressed, a huge company armed with shields and bucklers, all of them brandishing swords. Persia, Cush, and Put are with them, all of them with shields and helmets; Gomer with all its troops; and Beth-togarmah from the remotest parts of the north along with all its troops - many peoples are with you. (Ezekiel 38:1-6 HCSB)

"Son of man, prophesy against Gog and say: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshek and Tubal. (Ezekiel 39:1 NIV)

"And you, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal; (Ezekiel 39:1 NKJV)

The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah. (Genesis 10:2-3 ESV)

The sons of Ham: Cush, Egypt, Put, and Canaan. (Genesis 10:6 ESV)

The Hebrew word rosh (רֹ֖אשׁ) in Ezekiel 38:2-3 is translated as a proper noun in NASB95 and NKJV and an adjective in most other versions. Almost all the nations in Ezekiel 38:1-6 is found in Genesis 10:2-6. Only Persia is not found. If you believe that Rosh is a proper noun, then Rosh is the other exception. Persia existed during Ezekiel's time. What about Rosh?

How One World Religion Can Be Established

How can the followers of the many religions in the world give up and follow one religion? This is impossible at the moment. But it will be possible when the three conditions occur.

1. The current religions fail their followers;
2. Science prove one religion to be true;
3. Great miracles prove the same religion to be true.

I want to talk about the third point - the great miracles. The Bible mentioned at least two such miracles.

1. God defended Israel against Gog and Magog in such a way that the world will recognize that the God of Israel is indeed the true God (Ezekiel 38:23).
2. A miraculous healing of a world leader caused the world to be filled with wonder and they follow him (Revelation 13:3).

In this way, I will show my greatness and holiness, and I will make myself known to all the nations of the world. Then they will know that I am the LORD. (Ezekiel 38:23 NLT)

One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was filled with wonder and followed the beast. (Revelation 13:3 NIV)

Gog Magog And Allies

The word of the Lord came to me: "Son of man, set your face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him and say, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. And I will turn you about and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed in full armor, a great host, all of them with buckler and shield, wielding swords. Persia, Cush, and Put are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; Gomer and all his hordes; Beth-togarmah from the uttermost parts of the north with all his hordes - many peoples are with you. (Ezekiel 38:1-6 ESV)

The leader is Gog. He is from Magog. He is the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. His allies are Persia, Cush, Put, Gomer and Beth-togarmah.

You will say, "I will advance against a land of open villages; I will come against a tranquil people who are living securely, all of them living without walls and without bars or gates" - in order to seize spoil and carry off plunder, to turn your hand against ruins now inhabited and against a people gathered from the nations, who have been acquiring cattle and possessions and who live at the center of the world. (Ezekiel 38:11-12 CSB)

He will attack Israel to loot and to plunder.

"Thus says the Lord God: Are you he of whom I spoke in former days by my servants the prophets of Israel, who in those days prophesied for years that I would bring you against them? But on that day, the day that Gog shall come against the land of Israel, declares the Lord God, my wrath will be roused in my anger. For in my jealousy and in my blazing wrath I declare, On that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. The fish of the sea and the birds of the heavens and the beasts of the field and all creeping things that creep on the ground, and all the people who are on the face of the earth, shall quake at my presence. And the mountains shall be thrown down, and the cliffs shall fall, and every wall shall tumble to the ground. I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Lord God. Every man's sword will be against his brother. With pestilence and bloodshed I will enter into judgment with him, and I will rain upon him and his hordes and the many peoples who are with him torrential rains and hailstones, fire and sulfur. (Ezekiel 38:17-22 ESV)

But God will defend Israel.

So I will show my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am the LORD. (Ezekiel 38:23 ESV)

And the world will know that the God of Israel is the real God.

End Of The Millennium

And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. (Revelation 20:7-8 ESV)

During the millennium, Jesus will rule the world with no opposition. When the millennium is over, Satan will be released from his prison. He will go out to deceive the nations to fight against Jesus. I wonder what his slogan will be. Perhaps it will be this - "Better to live with lies under democracy than to live with truth under the dictatorship of Jesus."

False Monotheism And Idolatry

Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time. (Revelation 20:1-3 NASB)

When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison, and will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the sand of the seashore. And they came up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, and fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. (Revelation 20:7-10 NASB)

The main opposition to God since the flood is the mystery religion of Babylon, which is idolatry or worship of idols. This mystery religion will be completely destroyed during the 7 years of tribulation. It will not be carried into the millennium.

Then why the reference to Gog and Magog war in Ezekiel 38-39 in the war of rebellion by Satan after the millennium? I think the Ezekiel 38-39 war is a war against Israel by false monotheists. Similarly at the end of the thousand years of rule by Jesus Christ, nobody will believe in idols anymore. But they will be ready to accept a false monotheistic god. That is why the rebellion at the end of the millennium also refer to Gog and Magog.

The Iron Rod, Gog and Magog

Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. (Psalm 2:9 KJV)

She gave birth to a male child, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was caught up to God and to his throne, and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, in which she is to be nourished for 1,260 days. (Revelation 12:5-6 ESV)

From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. (Revelation 19:15 ESV)

The one who conquers and who keeps my works until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, even as I myself have received authority from my Father. (Revelation 2:26-27 ESV)

First prophesied in Psalm 2:9 and again in Revelation 12:5 and Revelation 19:15, Christ will rule the nations with an iron rod for 1000 years. Those who overcome shall also rule with Him (Revelation 2:26-27, Revelation 20:4). The rule of Christ will not be a democracy. At the end of the 1000 years, God's main political opponent, Satan, will be released for a while (Revelation 20:7). He will give voice to all those who opposed God in their hearts during the 1000 years of righteous rule of Christ, and he shall gather them from all places to stage his final rebellion against God.

When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison, and will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the sand of the seashore. And they came up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, and fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. I always wonder why this final rebellion was likened unto Gog and Magog in Ezekiel 38-39. The only reason I can think of is that the main opposition to God since the flood, the mystery religion of Babylon is finally dead during the 7 years of tribulation. Thus the only type of opposition left is that of Gog and Magog.

Future News - Invasion of Israel by Gog and Magog

A long time from now you will be called into action. In the distant future you will swoop down on the land of Israel, which will be enjoying peace after recovering from war and after its people have returned from many lands to the mountains of Israel. You and all your allies - a vast and awesome army - will roll down on them like a storm and cover the land like a cloud.

"This is what the Sovereign Lord says: At that time evil thoughts will come to your mind, and you will devise a wicked scheme. You will say, 'Israel is an unprotected land filled with unwalled villages! I will march against her and destroy these people who live in such confidence! I will go to those formerly desolate cities that are now filled with people who have returned from exile in many nations. I will capture vast amounts of plunder, for the people are rich with livestock and other possessions now. They think the whole world revolves around them!' But Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish will ask, 'Do you really think the armies you have gathered can rob them of silver and gold? Do you think you can drive away their livestock and seize their goods and carry off plunder?'

"Therefore, son of man, prophesy against Gog. Give him this message from the Sovereign Lord: When my people are living in peace in their land, then you will rouse yourself. You will come from your homeland in the distant north with your vast cavalry and your mighty army, and you will attack my people Israel, covering their land like a cloud. At that time in the distant future, I will bring you against my land as everyone watches, and my holiness will be displayed by what happens to you, Gog. Then all the nations will know that I am the Lord.

"This is what the Sovereign Lord asks: Are you the one I was talking about long ago, when I announced through Israel's prophets that in the future I would bring you against my people? But this is what the Sovereign Lord says: When Gog invades the land of Israel, my fury will boil over! In my jealousy and blazing anger, I promise a mighty shaking in the land of Israel on that day. All living things - the fish in the sea, the birds of the sky, the animals of the field, the small animals that scurry along the ground, and all the people on earth - will quake in terror at my presence. Mountains will be thrown down; cliffs will crumble; walls will fall to the earth. I will summon the sword against you on all the hills of Israel, says the Sovereign Lord. Your men will turn their swords against each other. I will punish you and your armies with disease and bloodshed; I will send torrential rain, hailstones, fire, and burning sulfur! In this way, I will show my greatness and holiness, and I will make myself known to all the nations of the world. Then they will know that I am the Lord. (Ezekiel 38:8-23 NLT)

Gog and Magog

In the last days, there shall be Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38, 39). Gog is one of the three rulers prophesized by name in the Bible. The other two are Josiah (1 Kings 13:2) and Cyrus (Isaiah 44:28-45:1). Gog and Magog (גוג ומגוג) is mentioned again in Revelation 20:8, at the end of the millenium. In the last days, Gog shall lead many nations to attack Israel. The purpose of Gog and Magog's invasion is to magnify the name of God in the eyes of the non-Christians. The fulfilment of this prophecy will convince them that the Bible is true. "and you will come up against My people Israel like a cloud to cover the land. It shall come about in the last days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me when I am sanctified through you before their eyes, O Gog (Ezekiel 38:16 NASB)." "I will magnify Myself, sanctify Myself, and make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am the LORD (Ezekiel 38:23 NASB)." "And I will set My glory among the nations; and all the nations will see My judgment which I have executed and My hand which I have laid on them (Ezekiel 39:21 NASB)." Gog and Magog will be defeated by God Himself by a great earthquake (Ezekiel 38:19), hailstones, fire and brimstone (Ezekiel 38:22). And Israel will also recognise that the Lord is their God. "And the house of Israel will know that I am the LORD their God from that day onward (Ezekiel 39:21 NASB)." Gog and Magog (Ya'juj and Ma'juj, يأجوج و مأجوج) is also found in the Koran (18:93-99, 21:95-97), but as usual, it is completely different from the Bible.
