After the sixty-two 'sevens,' the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed. (Daniel 9:26 NIV)
Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. (Zechariah 9:9 NIV)
According to this article on the web, "What is the correct calculation of Daniel's 69 Weeks? | NeverThirsty", the start of Daniel's prophecy was on 1 Nisan 444 BC and the end date of the prophecy is 6 Nisan AD 33, which occurred before Christ’s death on 14 Nisan 33 A.D. That is also the day when our Lord Jesus proclaimed Himself as the Anointed One (Messiah, Christ) publicly.

Good Works Is Not For Salvation
Good works cannot save us from lies. Neither can good works cancel our sins.
Christians should do good works out of gratitude to our God who has so freely given everything to us (1 John 4:19, Ephesians 4:32, Colossians 3:12-13, Matthew 10:8). Our motivation is gratitude, not servitude.
For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. (1 Corinthians 3:11-13 NIV)
For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10 NIV)

Josiah - Last Chance Before Destruction
Josiah removed all the detestable idols from all the territory belonging to the Israelites, and he had all who were present in Israel serve the LORD their God. As long as he lived, they did not fail to follow the LORD, the God of their ancestors. (2 Chronicles 34:33 NIV)
King Josiah lead the last revival of Judah before its destruction by the Babylonians. There was a great revival, one of the greatest revival of Israel. It probably laid the foundation of faith for those who would be exiled to Babylon. These would later form the nucleus of the next generation of Jews who would return to Israel after their exile from Babylon.
It was a great revival, but short-lived. When Josiah died, the revival died with him. The people went back to worship the queen of heaven.
No Passover like it had been kept in Israel since the days of Samuel the prophet. None of the kings of Israel had kept such a Passover as was kept by Josiah, and the priests and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel who were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. (2 Chronicles 35:18 ESV)

Good Works Cannot Save From Belief in Lies
Now there is a deadly coronavirus, called covid-19, spreading in the city of Wuhan (武漢) in China. Suppose there is a good man, who is full of good works, always helping people in disaster area, decides to go to Wuhan to help the city. Then someone lied to him and said that covid-19 is mild, does not spread easily and not deadly. And he believes this lie and did not make preparations. Then he will die from infection. Although he may have noble motives and done many good deeds, he will still die if he believe in lies.
"You will not certainly die," the serpent said to the woman. (Genesis 3:4 NIV)

Globalisation And Virus
Trump started the anti-globalisation drive in 2018. He started a trade war with China and try to break up the global supply chain. He was met with global opposition.
Then come covid-19. It made the world wake up to the global supply chain's dependency on China. It make the West aware of its vulnerability.
I believe this is part of the steps that will lead to the ten toes revived Roman empire. For the longest time since the end of the war in 1945, Europe was in the stage of decolonization and feeling very contrite about their colonisation, especially for the woke left, the liberals, the atheists and the climate worriers. This have to change so that the Roman empire can be revived and the beast can conquer the world with Christianity.
What Trump cannot, the covid-19 virus will complete. The global supply chain will break up and Europe will start thinking of how to secure its supply.
As the toes were partly iron and partly clay, so this kingdom will be partly strong and partly brittle. (Daniel 2:42 NIV)

Going Viral
But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. (Galatians 4:4-5 ESV)
How do viruses spread?
How do invention and knowledge spread?
How do religions spread?
How does the gospel spread?
This is how Collins English Dictionary described the term "Go viral" - If a video, image, or story goes viral, it spreads quickly and widely on the Internet through social media and e-mail.
We actually find viruses, ideas and religions spreading like much in the same way. It depends on population density, geographic location, communication technology and the right time. It goes viral when the conditions are right.
In the Bible, the good news spread in the same way. God chose a people and placed them in a location and spread the message.
If you live far from China and where few Chinese visit, then you have a lower chance of getting the covid-19 virus. If you live far away from Israel, then the Gospel will take a longer time to reach you. Especially when the Holy Spirit bid Paul to go west.
Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia. When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to. So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas. During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, "Come over to Macedonia and help us." (Acts 16:6-9 NIV)

God Work And Rest While Adam Rest And Work
Just found out something from Rev David Wong while attending Zion BP Church. While God worked for six days and rested on the seventh, Adam started of by resting on his first full day (i.e. seventh day of creation) before commencing to work for the rest of his first week.

A Panoramic View of the Bible And What We Can Learn From It - 7
The whole Bible can be summarized with four words - creation, fall, redemption, restoration.
The Bible described creation in two chapters (Genesis 1:1 - 2:25).
The Bible described the fall in one chapter (Genesis 3:1 - 3:24).
The Bible described the restoration in one and a half chapters (Revelation 21:1-22:5).
The bulk of the Bible is about redemption.
What does the bulk of the Bible tell us about the God's salvation plan and redemption?
Salvation belongs to the LORD; your blessing be on your people! Selah (Psalm 3:8 ESV)
But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood - to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished - he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. (Romans 3:21-26 NIV)
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? (Romans 10:14 ESV)
So then they said to him, "What must we do to accomplish the deeds God requires?"
Jesus replied, "This is the deed God requires - to believe in the one whom he sent." (John 6:28-29 NET)
- Only God can save;
- God has already prepared for our redemption from sin before creation;
- This plan of salvation is revealed progressively;
- Salvation is freely available to all;
- Salvation is effectively by the grace of God;
- Our only work is to believe;
- While the big overview of the Bible is creation, fall, redemption, restoration, our personal life's overview is justification, sanctification, glorification.
Salvation belongs to the LORD; your blessing be on your people! Selah (Psalm 3:8 ESV)
